One quick note, this is the first gallery I used with my 1Ds MkIII so I got to experiment a whole lot. I did find that Highlight Tone Priority works great during the day and evening, but trying to get a wide angle shot at night with just stage lighting, it does darken the shot a bit.

Nice set, interesting images.
IMO #1 is too dark / flat.

The setup shots are good, but I love the live pic #2, with Moby looking guy and the ticker tape.
Great shots.

In the setup one? Yeah, I wanted to try to keep the sun's rays with the Highlight Tone Priority, so it was a balance issue

I'd probably use a local curves adjustment, more or less like this (very Q&D):

These are awesome shots... The linked shots are pretty cool too... Would love to have seen the scene.
I missed the Olympics held there, back in 1984. Some off topic trivia: My old track coach, Larry Ellis, was the US Men's Team head coach there, at the LA Games in 84. The stadium at Princeton U. is named after him...

Rukes, My Man! I still haven't gotten down to see you, sigh. Just too busy! These are stunners. I haven't tried HTP on any of my 1D[s]MIII's yet, but perhaps the time is coming ... always thought that was a wedding photographer's feature.
