Default N00b Alert! Studio strobe trigger

I've read somewhere that Alien-Bees and other similar studio strobes come with built in optical and infra-red slave unit.

Are there any studio strobe that came with a built-in radio slave?

Yes, some of the higher end lines professional lines do. Someone else will have to give specifics. The only specific example I can give is the Elinchrom RX line has built in receivers for the Skyport transmitter.

There are some studio powerpacks that can come with an optional PocketWizard receiver.

Two brands I can think of off the top of my head which have strobes with PW receivers built-in are Norman and Profoto.

Also, I think some some Dynalite packs.

Previously there was a webpage on the PW site listing these, but I cannot find it now.

Enjoy! Lon
