Some photogs will shoot pics a couple days before or after a wedding to get that "artsy" feel to the shots. That could (should) have been discussed up front - or plan an additional shoot (take a pick) for an additional fee, or to maintain good will for the business.

The other option is to Photoshop a sunset into one of the original pictures _ "Look, the sky cleared after we were married!"

There's a reason they refer wedding photography to combat photography.

i would re-do the photo`s and add a sunset in each photo + a ufo .
when the bride say`s the ufo`s wern`t there! my answer would be and neither was the sunset. but i couldn`t take the chance leaving them out .

My first wedding shoot as backup photographer was for a very unattractive couple, and I understand that the bride didn't like any of the photos. She was impossible to please because she was displeasing to herself.

That's how my first wedding was, but fortunately she didn't try to blame me. Although she could have. I did do a pretty lousy job...

If the judge's verdict is in favor of the photographer, is the bride "legally not beautiful"?

I am so glad the only wedding I have ever shot didn't have a bride in it.
