Default Union Pacific 3819 . . .

I was luck enough to catch 3819 at Cache Junction, this August past. The yellow and gray are more in line with what we see on a day to day basis . . . got to love them trains. This was taken with my G5.

Lovely! What a beautiful day that was. I can't remember the last time the skies looked like that here in smokey old London.

I love the sky. The clouds really make this shot work!

LOL, you made me laugh Wintoid, I have been through London a time or two and I do not remember blue sky . . . just rain. Thomascanty, thank you, I do like my trains . . . our summer sky is like this so often that I don't even think of same until noted.

Except for the sky (which is magnificent), this looks a lot like many shots I've taken over the years. Union Pacific engines are a bit more photogenic than most other railroads. The yellow/grey combination really stands out. Unfortunately, UP doesn't do a particularly good job of keeping them clean, especially since they acquired Southern Pacific which was known for really filthy equipment. These units look pretty good.

Good job.
