So, I shot this all on medium format film in my RB67, manual focus, no live metering, all that fun stuff. It was fun, but tough, and unfortunately, they didn't turn out as nice as I'd like (focusing in the dark on a waist level view finder is hard...). Anyhow, here they are, if you're wondering exposure info, it's 1/125 f/3.8 EI 1280 on Tri-X pushed two stops.

Wow.
Talk about making it hard for yourself... RB67. Not even an RZ67 Nice effort. I like the second one. How did you digitalise them? No idea about availability, but I'd rather use Tmax 3200 at EI 1600 then push Tri-X 2 stops; you loose too much shadow detail when pushing IMO.

I scanned on an Epson 4490, I really wanted to try using the RB, and since this was a pretty mellow local show, I figured it'd be a fun experience. I might use it whenever I shoot a show at the House of Blues or Palladium here in Dallas again, much much better lighting.
Unfortunately, 320 Tri-X was the fastest black and white film I could find in 220, otherwise I would have shot with Delta 3200 in 120. Needless to say, a 120 back is on it's way within a couple of weeks, so much more film availability. Thanks |
