Pricing - In House Photographer

Hello Folks, It's my turn I need to know how do most of you charge when you're the in house photographer. I have some clients that's ready to make me thier house photo guy & I need to come up with a way to charge them. Here is the facts
I'm keeping my fulltime job so I'll only be shooting when they need me.
Some product shots: Fitness Gear
Some Promo shots: Full advertisement photos of people including web usage.

I'm requesting all photo credits of course & if any outside publication needs wants usage they have to get the file from me.
But I would like to know whats the going rate.

Thanks for the info, they love my work & I'm looking at giving them an discounted hourly rate. I believe most of my work will be portraits of employees. I really do want to keep th rights to the promo events due to if any publication wants to use a print I'm the one who gets the big $$$ I'll break things down this weekend & go from there.

As I know so far Vegas does not have an photographers Union Open Market

My conception of an "in-house photographer" is someone who is an employee of the company with a salary and benefits. As such, his photographs are considered "work for hire" and the company owns all rights and usage. I think they are using this arrangement in order to get a really good price concession from you. I would try to find out how much they have been paying, and then give them a 25-30% discount based on a guaranteed amount of work, or perhaps paying you a retainer which would be applied to future work.

Charles is lined up with my thinking also. "In-house" means just that, you work within their establishment under their rules and conventions.

I worked as "In-house" for several Auto related manufacturing firms. Work was enjoyable - pay was not !

Thanks folks for all the advice. I must clarify that I've done shot for hire but I was thinking about making a proposal to them for to make this years photo sessions easier to manage. They have paid my for my time in the past & enjoy my work. In fact I'm not even worried about someone coming in and getting the work I just would like to establish a general price for services so that we know where we both stand.
I enjoy being freelance, just trying to lock down some prices for some of my good repeat customers.
