Default South Street Seaport (Night Shots)

Took my 40D out for a stroll with my Velbon Tripod... had fun!

BK Bridge


Didn't Expect the Fireworks

Nice series, my only comment is that shots 1, 2 & 3 seem to be a bit blurred IMO.

Yes i agree there is a tiny bit of a blur on the first 3. i have a very sturdy tripod, but there was some small wind gusts last night that may have crated the blur. Overall, i think i did a great job considering just last week i didn't know the diffrence betweeb apature priority and ISO settings.. lol

Quick Question?

How do i get the lights to not shine as bright (see the bridge lights) do i need a UV filter for that?

How cam i make sure my images don't come out blurry, i have used the Live View with manual focus (but they still seem to come out a bit off)

any ideas?

What I use is a remote switch for the camera, that way I will not touch the body. Even on a tripod, when you depress the camera release, it will still cause camera shake.

even with the Timer? all the shots were taking with the 2/10 second timer....
