Here’s a midnight view of Yosemite Falls, lit by the full moon light. We tried to get a glimpse of a “moon-bow” but from what I was told, the moon light was just not bright enough. Although in a few of the exposures I took up close at the lower falls you could see a rainbow at the bottom of the falls from the moon light - pretty cool.
This was taken with a Canon 17-55 on a 30D, tripod mounted with remote release. ISO 100 f/5.6, 28mm, 266 sec exposure. ![]()

My word, that's a quite stunning shot. Love the composition and the exposure is spot on.
Well done.

Very nice... Did you "light paint" the tree on the left at all or is that all moonlight? That's definately a P/F/H (Print/Frame/Hang)

Wow, great job. It's really amazing how f'ing good that image is.
Have you made any prints? I would love to have a print, if you might care to do a trade. PM if interested and congrats on such excellent work.

Super cool. I lived and climbed in the valley for years. I am impressed by the color when I am in the moon light every thing looks black and white.

Now that I've looked at it, on a calibrated monitor, I believe it's a nice image, all over again. There's one or two hot pixels, in the black area. One is red, and the other is blue. Nothing else to change, really.

This is a rather an interesting photo for such long exposure as the stars have no trails that I can see.
Nice job!
