Now that we've gotten over that somewhat uncomfortable point in our relationship.
Go buy another L. At least there is some consistency in this group.

do i regret it based on any of the gear performance? absolutely not. in fact, i wish the 85mm 1.2L II actually was the first prime i bought as it's absolutely fantastic on my 1D III! it's efficient focusing plus the AF speed of the 1D serious is stellar; coupled with the addition of being able to disable the electronic focus ring (reduces chance of the loose manual focus wheel deterring exact focus point for users of soley AF; not me but still sweet to have another justification on upgrading. now i'm trying to figure an efficient and mobile lighting approach for portraiture work of all sorts and no, i'm not gonna use this thread as a plug for some other thread where i may be asking the very thing. i'm just somehwat ranting...as usual. i concur, full-heartedly. [quote=dave kadolph;5989830]Now that we've gotten over that somewhat uncomfortable point in our relationship. Go buy another L. i need to sell a lot of my old macro gear and vocal equipment so i can do exactly that. i'm shooting for either the 300mm 2.8 IS (weight may be a bit of a deterrent; plus the necessity of purchasing a Wimberly) or a 14mm 2.8L IS (light fall-off is just the way of the frame. i'm sure on a crop this will beg for a second body). i just need net worth go up another digit before i bring it down another. know what i'm saying? this is true, but i have no history in a noink forum or any other forum except and FM and well... (sorry for ending on an elipsis.)
