Default DPP 3.4.1 MAC upgrade - worth it, or problems?

I am still using 3.3.1.3 that came with my 40d.

Is it worthwhile to upgrade to 3.4.1?

(one of the upgrades, so I read, is the improvement of noise reduction from 3 step to 11 step. Which can't be true, as 3.3 also has 11 step NR).

So, is there anything in this upgrade making it worth it?

Or does it have problems, as I read on the web. (but, obviously, you can find a problem report to ANY new version on the web).

Thanks!

I'd pay $100 for 2.2.1 to work with my 40D.

I run 3.4.1 on OSX 10.4.11 without problems.

No problems here either. Granted I'm so new to digital photography and post processing that I'm not sure I would recognize a problem if it bit on the nose.
