Default Adobe DNG profiling - a question

Hello

There is something I don't understand about the Adobe DNG profiling software.

When I import a DNG image of a ColorChecker chart and hover over a colour, the RBG (why not RGB?) read out shows values that are miles away from the actual values. eg for square 15, red, the values are 61, 17, 10. If I go to the chart tab and profile they become 45, 15, 10. The actual values are 175, 60, 54 according to the ColorChecker.

Any comments most appreciated

What color space?

175, 60, 54 in ProPhotoRGB is miles away from the same numbers in sRGB.

No idea about the Adobe software, since I haven't used it yet, but it might have something to do with the readout you see.

"What color space"

A good question since the DNG profiler does not appear to have a colour space.
