advice please

hi , im new here, signed up to get some advice on shooting Nine inch nails this weekend. Im not a pro , andthis will be for personal use.my problem is, ill be using a point and shoot camera, sony cybershot dsc-t5, and i dont like this camera. going thru settings is not as simple as my previous camera,(sony dsc-w70)not even an slr. i don't want to flash a red light in their faces everytime i press the shutter button, because that is what happens in the night setting. NIN has big screens on stage, so im a bit confused about the settings i should use.
i probably seem silly asking for help with this camera but any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Forget your on board flash as it will only light the heads of the people right in front of you. (unless that is what you want)
Put it in AV mode if it has it, up the ISO and shoot with the largest aperture the thing has. Try to time your shots to the stage lighting.

I've been to 2 NIN shows- one in Nov 05 and one Feb 06. I had a blast, most amazing show ever! If you haven't been to one of their shows yet you will have a blast!
I shot some pics in one of the shows with my little Canon S200 2mp camera, nothing great by any means but relives the memories. the red light is the "AF assist beam" look for it in the menu and see if you can turn it off. Don't shoot any higher than ISO400 (might want to keep it at 200) cause there will be too much noise. You really might not get any great shots at all with a camera like that, I would just go and have fun.

wow thanks you guys, i was actually fiddling around with the iso and aperture settings with a lit tv in a dark room as a test subject and came to the conclusions similar to your suggestions. but reading it makes me feel more secure about it. i hope it works out well at the show and get great pics. maybe ill post them here.thank again!

hi again, i just realized, this camera doesn't have ISO options( piece of crap). the ISO is stuck on Auto and the only thing that i can adjust is EV. my biggest problem , why the hell does this not come with detailed descriptions on the settings. ok so my last option, besides this forum, will be B&H. people there better know more than something. DStanic,I might just forget pictures and have fun.
