Really nice shot. Is this some HDR effect? The cactus looks a little strange.

Yes, it's my first HDR attempt

The cactus looks a little strange because of the extreme bright sun outside.

I like it, just haven't seen many B&W HDR conversions.

wonderful shot!! I am just learning about the whole HDRI thing and would not have thought of it's use for B&W...love the effect.
