I am just in to offload some pictures and grab a bite to eat, back out into the glorious sunshine in a bit, but here is something new for the sports forum.
The McGill University Stihl Loggersports Competition. Was a little tricky with the crowds everywhere, but I'll work on that this afternoon. Up, up and away! ![]() Check out his axle handle... ![]() Lots of ice, a couple of dogs.. ![]() My attempt at something artsy.. ![]()

They were definately sawing as fast as they could, it was crazy to see. The other one with the red saw was a team relay type thing, they would switch off and then pile onto the log to keep it stable, it was crazy.
The facial expressions were great most of the time, lots of hurt going on. The first photo has a guy just as his axe handle is splitting..he kept going, slicing open his hand, and then finally grabbed the backup axe. Did you know they keep the axe heads warmed with hot packs in order to keep it's edge? I had no idea, so I asked why they had them in their shirts/pants (dangerous maybe??).
