Default kenko 2x tele converters ?

Kenko 2x Tele Converter do they work well with the canon 100-400 is L lens ?
If so anyone got example photo.s with and without please

I use the 100-400mm, but I suspect you'd have f-stop issues with a 2x tele-converter. In addition, I don't think the AF will work, or at least, not fast or with any consistency.

If you're going with a teleconverter, I'd spend the extra bit on the Canon one, rather than the Kenko; any of the shortcomings of the teleconverter/extender are only going to be magnified (pardon the pun) in the kenko model.

on a 100-400, a 2x teleconverter will have you at f11 wide open. not even a 1D will autofocus with that. Even if you tape it, or its non-reporting, you probably won't be able to autofocus.

manual should be ok though, for static shots. I bought one for cheap just to try some moon shots.
