I am very sorry if I am bugging your forum but this really is not spam. I take pictures with my girlfriend of one year every weekend and she really loves it and wants it to be a major part of her life. She refuses to believe she is good and yet I continually insist she continue taking pictures because I love them and others love them. They are very artistic. I want her to somehow know she is good at taking pictures and I thought that photo contests would help. I have no idea what contests she could enter as an amateur or if that is even the right thing to do at this point. Could someone with a huge heart help me out and tell me what I could do to help her. This would help her out so much. Thank you for your time.

One thing I would suggest is to register her right here and have her post [or you] some of her photos in the various categories. There are alot of very freindly/helpful people here that would love to see her work. Yup heres the place to be!

Yes, I would definitely post some stuff here. Contests can be a heartbreaker sometimes. There's a lot of good people here who will appreciate a photo - we don't give awards, but we *appreciate* them a lot more than a ribbon does. (Though ribbons are nice.)

Actually, I can only say that I am now very interesting in seeing some of the photos you're talking about!
Do encourage her to share some of her work! Start by getting her a nice userid on the forum and introduce her ... 'Hello, my namy is XXXX. I take photos on the weekend ...' If you need any help as to how you can post the photos, where to host them on the internet, please don't hesitate to ask!!! Best regards, Andy

This sounds like just the right place to start. Tell her to post away!
