Default Buying abroad

Hello there,

I've just read a post talking about bhphotovideo.com in NY. As I live in Belgium, I wonder what kind of taxes (customs) I'll have to pay if I order somthing there.

Has anyone living in Belgim or elsewhere in Europe already ordered there ?

Thanks for your replies

Hi,
I live in Northern Ireland and I have bought goods from bhphotovideo.com. I had to pay VAT @ 17-1/2% to fedex when the goods arrived. The prices look good on their website but when you have to pay Fedex and VAT on top it is not really worth it. Try to source from a european supplier if possible.

I have purchased items from the following suppliers.

http://www.ffordes.com

http://www.acecameras.co.uk

http://www.calumetphoto.com

The prices may not look as good as the US prices but keep the shipping and taxes in mind.
