I just started getting into paintball photography around a month or two ago.
This was my first time in the net. And.. i was brave. This shot was shot from me laying in the middle of the field with an umbrella behind me to protect me lol. Here you go. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm hoping to get a better lense soon. 70-200m F/4 L is what i'm looking for

nice catch on the last one with the paintball leaving the gun.
First few aren't that sharp. Also like the shot in the face pic.

Yeah. I was afraid to bring a top $$ lens on the field.
Ended up shooting with the Kit. So i ended up cropping photos. Hence the first few's clarity.

just stay on the sidelines man, you can get the same angles, and youll be a lot safer in the long run, plus if you ever shoot tournaments and events, you wont be allowed to do that stuff lol
personally, i think you could have gotten better shots though, just my opinion, but the last one is good and now that i look at it, his form is terrible haha

there are only 2 from in the middle of the field.
I play with these guys usually. The guy does have bad form though. He broke his wrist a year or two ago and thats the only way he can hold a gun unfortunately. I was shooting kit lens. I'm savin for a 70-200 F4 L

not bad for the first time. personally i would not use the kit lens, not enough reach. every time i shoot paintball. i use my 70-200 f4 L. im usually on the field and my pics are pretty good for an up and coming photographer. since you play paintball you know were to be and stand to take photos. dont be afraid of getting shot.

Those are good pictures. Especially because this is your first attempt. I don't need to mention the kit lens because you already have. I don't have to mention the player's form because 1. you already mentioned why his form is bad (wrist) and 2. because this is a photography forum and not PBN.
As long as you feel comfortable shooting on the field keep doing it. Especially if you still have the kit lens. You can get some wonderful angles on the field you simple cant from the sidelines. Keep shooting pics and they will dramatically improve.
