meh, the 5D MK II is completely underwhelming. It the same thing as the 50D except more mega pixels, Full Frame, and GASP!! Movie mode...........oh and of course drastically reduced continuous shooting (only.9 better than current 5D come on!)

50D FTW!!

but I digress, because once I go full Framm I will most likely get the 5d MK II. Unless they release a 7D at Photokina.

Wondering if the 5D MKI will remain the king of the 5D series...

5dmkii is the largest jump since the d30 to d60 (just over 100% increase in MP) and then next largest was 40d to 50d. Digic 4 looks like it's quite effective, since the 50d has slightly better noise characteristics than the 40d even with much smaller photodiodes. Given that the receptor sites on the 5dmkii are about the same size as a 20d's, the 5dmkii may have just killed the 1dsmkiii except for the few that need the AF, build, and reliability of the 1d line.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Nice camera but not too much of a upgrade..Looks like more a marketing thing with more megapixel..It would be nice if it had a better AF and I hope the high iso is just as good as nikons..

I am a little disappointed to be honest. 3.9fps to me, that isn't much of an upgrade over the current 5D. Even the 50D manages 6+.

But considering the price they are asking, it isn't too bad. I am really looking at upgrading to either a 5D or a 5D ii......

Canon knows it isnt that big of a leap, or they are going to announce a 7D because they priced it only $200 more than the current 5D.
