Default canon 5D II , if I use infrared filter can I have a good infrared movie !!!

what you think ? is it right

if I use infrared filter on the lens can I have a good infrared movie ??

is that Possible ?

I think that would be possible, but only if youre talking a sensor IR filter. One on the lens wouldt work since they take so long to let any IR light in. That would be a really expensive permanently modded IR camera body then.

I'm going with a qualified "No" on this.
At 30 fps, effective shutter speed is (obviously) 1/30 s, and that seems very short for an IR exposure.

The qualifications: at 25600 ISO, maybe it's a goer, and if you supply IR flood lighting, I can't see why it wouldn't work.

No, if only because the filter on the sensor cuts out infrared to prevent it polluting colour.

There's nothing special about infrared, really, unless you are doing zero-illumination shots of wildlife. If you want something that looks a bit wacky just pass the footage through a cross-process filter.
