Default Cyclist in the Pyrenees - experimental!

Tried something a bit "out there" to convey the motion of this cyclist other than by using panning.

Not sure if it really worked or not!

Thoughts welcome.

Yeah, the whole zoom thing doesn't do much for me either. But experimentation is good, keep trying new things!

I can't see the second pic though, just a red X.

Thanks for the feedback!

If I'd had the presence of mind I think I might have tried zooming and panning at the same time - I saw this done to very good effect once. I was just pleased I didn't crop his back wheel.

Oh btw, the second pic is not a photo, it's some stupid Imageshack link that they insist on putting at the bottom of photos posted on forums!

I like experimenting with shots like this. This one may not knock it out of the park for the masses, but I would look at it as a possible step in a direction that could produce something very likeable/inyeresting.

What if you used a flash on 2nd curtain synch?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
