Maybe you are the only person?
WHAT?!?!? This seems to be a very good lens from your samples! I jsut hocked my Canon 100 macro due to lack of use, and the cost. but 125? I could certainly justify that!!! Got any pics OF the lens? when focusing does the fron element go in and out? How is the speed of AF? I think you got the deal of the year!

Livinthalife - the front element extends but doesn't rotate, which is nice. AF is fast!
MarineManiac - Glad to see somebody else has this lens! the lens itself... ![]() ![]() another shot with it ![]()

Don't worry, you are not the only one to have this lens. I picked one up off e-bay a couple of months ago and have been playing with it on my 500D.

I've had this lens for a number of years. I love it!
Here are a few pics taken during an hour I had with a borrowed 1D Mk III. All ISO 100. No flash. This was my first time ever using a DSLR. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Let's see if I can post pics of my lens... (Photos were taken by the ebay seller.) I paid about $225. The lens might be had for less, but I have no buyer's remorse. It shoots nice portraits too, but the autofocus is a bit slow.
