Default late car show

This will be my first time shooting late at night:CarShow}, tring it out to see what equiment I need the next time. from my list do you think I will get by.?

Hmmm, not sure. I suppose if you keep your sigma set at 17mm @ f/2.8 the entire time you maybe fine. But, I don't have much experience concerning shooting car shows at night.

How late at night?

How late at night?
lik 6pm till 9pm,,,should be pleanty of lights

Take a tripod and a CPL just in case. For the more rare cars, I tend to shoot with tripod and CPL at multiple angles to reduce as much reflection as possible. Also long shutter speeds to blur out loads of people walking around.

elysium....sounds like a plan......well be new to me...but I shot ever and anything some good some bad.....guess thats the name of the sport

The later you stay, the better the light gets & the more people go home.
And some of the cars will have left letting you get some clear side shots, too.

If you know any entrants, see if you can get in early and shoot before everyone gets in. If you can get in early, you can probably use your 100 or 70-200. Also, if the cars are modded, take tight shots of the mods.

Well looks like my first Car Show shot tonight has got rainned out......past several days South Florida has got about 12" of rain. Well there are aways car show here....Man I was Readdy Toooo...

get a fast wide angle lens. maybe a tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 or sigma 30mm f/1.4. wide angle is very handy in tight spaces especially when a lot of people are around the cars. you would also need a tripod, or boosting your iso.
