Default Chuck-Chuck and the Wet Tits

Hi all,

We have a new band forming here in St.Louis... a successor to the Yardbirds I guess.

This is Chuck-Chuck, our lead singer and patriarch Red-bellied Woodpecker around these parts... he also plays percussion:

And these are his backup singers Elvis and Tootsie:

Sorry... a brief sunny morning rapidly gave way to a rainy day here, and these guys were the pics of the day.
They're still rehearsing so you'll likely be glad to settle for just seeing them for now.

Kenn

The Chickadee looks miserable.

I have a RBW that frequents a few yards but my neighbor's son named him Woodrow..he is a character though.

Love the first one for obvious reasons. ...detail!

Thanks Duane - I think all the birds look pretty miserable when soaked, but they don't really seem to care, and I take pictures of them anyway. I may do a soaked series sometime

Thanks TrekPic - Ha... I thot it was a clever title too, but I hope no one here was offended. We haven't been to our zoo for awhile, but it is a very good one. Thanks for reminding me of that.

What a wonderful job on these, Kenn. Looks like that Titmouse is having itself a bad hair day. Your close up on the RBWP is spectacular and some wonderful bokeh in all of these images.
