I just found this announcement

Delkin Announces Secure Digital to CompactFlash Adapter

Now you can use your SD/SDHC cards in CF devices.

Software has long been cross-platform but now your SD and SDHC cards can be cross-platform as well, thanks to Delkin's new SD/SDHC to CF adapter. Just insert your SD or SDHC card into this small adapter and you can use SD/SDHC cards in any CF-compatible device including cameras and card readers.
This plug-'n-play adapter is also hot swappable and comes with a 2 year limited warranty. The device is shipping now at a price of $29.99.

EOS 6d, 7d, 50d, Tokina 11-16, Tokina 16-28, Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8, Sigma 17-50 F/2.8, Canon 24-70mm F/2.8L, Canon 70-200 F/2.8L, Mixed Speedlites and other stuff.

When it ceases to be fun, it will be time to walk away

Does this adapter reduce the transfer speed in any way?

Maybe this is a first for Delkin, but Im pretty sure these adapters have been out and around for many years. Not sure about the SDHC portion though. In fact im pretty sure I have one that I bought about a year at least ago.

I am sure there would be some loss of speed.

Thats it! Thats the one I have! The Jobo! Couldnt think of the name! Got it off ebay. Not sure if mine is compatible with SDHC though. But considering the fact that I have never used/needed it and that with all the Sandisk rebates compact flash is dirt cheap I dont think Ill be buying a newer one that supports SDHC.

My SD-only adapter has a curved cut-out for gripping the SD card by; the cut-outs on the SD-HC are more angular, as in the pic. at the B&H page I linked to. I just have them for emergency use; I've probably got 60 GB of CF cards.

It's only for emergency use, and it wouldn't get used in my fastest camera, the 1D3; the 5D's less demanding since it only tops out at 3 fps. I've actually done no more than verify that it would work. If I ever need it, speed isn't going to be an issue.
