Default Birds Eye View

Hi Guys,

I am looking for advise on how to help clean up my shots, the following have been taken with a Canon G9. They are panorama shots that I stitched together.

I am pretty much a newb to this, so keep that in mind, these are just point and click pix put together with some stitching software which does do some color correcting.

I know time of day will help, but I am not sure if I can give myself any advantages with lenses, filters or camera settings.

I would like to get more vivid and life like colors in the shots, the skys seem to get washed out.

Thanks in advance.
