I can't compete with some of the excellent shots in this forum, though they do inspire me to have a go despite a lack of 'dedicated' equipment.
This was taken using an old Tamron 500mm mirror lens that I originally used on my film cameras. Managed to find an adapter that allows me to use it on my 40D. Whilst it gives me a decent sized image, it is definitely lacking in some of hthe detail that you guys manage to achieve. But I'm happy with it, so I guess that is reason enough to keep on trying. ![]()

Very slightly. The original image was 3888x2592. I've cropped out some of the excess black space, which has left this image at 2924x2520
