Default Moon shot

I can't compete with some of the excellent shots in this forum, though they do inspire me to have a go despite a lack of 'dedicated' equipment.

This was taken using an old Tamron 500mm mirror lens that I originally used on my film cameras. Managed to find an adapter that allows me to use it on my 40D. Whilst it gives me a decent sized image, it is definitely lacking in some of hthe detail that you guys manage to achieve.

But I'm happy with it, so I guess that is reason enough to keep on trying.

Very slightly. The original image was 3888x2592. I've cropped out some of the excess black space, which has left this image at 2924x2520
