Default Polyethylene foam for texture paint...

I was watching a dvd from the photographer Mary Duprie and as I can't listen very well in english (I still have some problems with some fast said words) I wasn't able to understand what type of backdrop she uses for make a texture paint on it... She says on dvd that she got all of them for free in a construction building and I didn't know if I got correct but I heard her backdrops are foam... So I'm assuming she uses polyethylene foam... What do you guys think about it?

Thanks
