I'm sure that we all have huge and long lists of things we want. Realistically, however, what are you hoping to find under the tree this year? Keep in mind that you don't want to feel guilty receiving a $1500 dollar L lens when what you gave was a $10 lava lamp to the person who gave it to you.
Me... I wouldn't mind a nice, versatile new camera bag large enough to carry my 70-200, 17-55, and Wigma.

Well my wife's a first year high school art teacher with 4 years of student loans to pay off so I assume the 5D MKII with the 16-35 MKII WONT be under the tree this year......or ever probably.
I actually wouldn't mind some smart wool socks.

I'm sure there's another thread like this somewhere!
Anyway, I'd like some decent extension tubes, a Wacom Bamboo tablet and a good tripod. And plenty of other things to boot!

Keeping in mind what you said keep in mind, I can't think of anything anyone could afford to get for my camera.
I want the 85 1.8 and so many things that cost so much more. I don't want anybody to spend that kind of money on me. I would feel the least guilty with 85

Ah the joys of Christmas. I would like to find under my tree just one thing. Bring our boys home! Oh, camera items? Honestly, I am happy with my kit.

For Christmas I want the Canadian dollar to go back on par with the USD, so I can buy more stuff.
As far as other people buying me gear, friends nor family have any clue about photography so they wouldn't know what to get me unless I wrong a model number down.. lol

I basically asked for a strobist kit from AlienBee. I also need a new bag really bad, so that'll likely be under the tree aswell

My wife has been going on all year about the great and surprising gift she was going to get me for Christmas... I figured it was something photography related, and I've been excited.
I found out last weekend that it was... A Kindle! Which I would have loved, except its not available in Canada! Now she is looking for something else.... Sigma 10-20 would be nice!
