My family and I went to Hong Kong over the summer. I have a lot of food photos.





Both are from the Café Marriott, located in JW Marriott Hong Kong.

The first cupcake with round sprinkles has a very shallow DOF. The sprinkles are towards the left of the cupcake are pretty sharp. The other two cupcakes look OOF to me.

^^Perhaps, but shooting in low light with an AV of 1.4 and TV of 1/20" will give you camera shake and razor thin Depth of Field. The images in not especially in focus.. .. Sharpness is something else.

Coi, you are getting the same results with 1.8 and 1/50th".. the end results will show camera shake.. You could have gotten more speed with higher ISO's than 100 and 200


Focus and Sharpness can be different concepts. Focus brings the eye to rest on what you are featuring..
