That thing is huge! and Xs mounted on it was tiny...hehehehhe!

But its also slow the AF is a dog, and loud.

I will download the pic here and post it later.

Did it have the 2X TC on it? That might explain things.

Nope. The AF is just slow, my guess is the weight of glass. The camera was set to center point, single shot af. Which may not helped. Also was somewhat dark on the other end of floor and not the best for testing. With that said it was too slow for my liking. When I found a face to focus on it would take a very long time to lock on, then a longer time to lock on once I changed FL (going from 200-400-500mm).

If I ever find my self needing a 200-400 f/2.8 lens I will get a prime this guy is way too slow in AF. But If I really needed a 500 f/2.8 I may not find anything.

I just realized that is basically the "porn" version of a "normal" lens...wonder what it's porn name might be? Dirk Diggler is already taken...

The lens uses a dedicated battery for power, it may have been low. Do you know?
