Default I didnt know globular spring tails where in the army?

Lovely looking globular spring tail..A new species for me..I have found 3 different species in a 1m2 area.

Size was about 1.7mm

shot is around 3:1 life size with mpe-65 and mt-24ex (400Dslr)

what exactly is it? 'obviously an insect.... none the less good caputure...

don't just look in the fields the elongated variety (Arthropleona) are as likely to be found on your window sills or crawling over pots.

Frans Janssens says:

Sminthurus viridis s.l. (sensu lato = in broad sense).
It could be S. viridis or S. nigromaculatus. Those two can only be distinguished by the dorsal pigmentation of the small abdomen.

I have only seen baby S.viridis and never S.nigromaculatus.
