Hi Gang,
Just had my 3 yo LCD take a whopper on my shoes! So my choices are to have it repaired or buy a new one. I have a Gateway DcDi 21" LCD and it does not work now. I tried to trouble shoot with gateway and he said take it to Best Buy.... for possible repair huh? Just what is the cats meow these days for a monitor of that size. I am on PC xp sp2. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.!! |

TN panels nowadays are really affordable, like this 22" Viewsonic $150 after rebate. However, for photo editing I would rather go for a used S-IPS panel like Dell 2005FPW or 2007WFP if budget is an issue.

Thanks CfcRebel, I don't mind spending 3-450 for a good monitor, I just don't want to buy a lemon..

I am facing the same thing in a few months. I will have a new computer next week and am looking at the Dell monitors for after the first of the year. I am using an 19" CRT right now.
Happy Shopping! Trique Daddi

I check the link above and under product specs, it doesn't say either way. Is there a rating or something (besides price) I should look for to determine if it is a TN monitor? Tom
