I must say I really like it. The white wall on the right is a little distracting though. Maybe a crop?

i like the concept, but maybe tighter framing would've been better. i'm undecided about the black silhouette thing.

i gotta agree with the previous two posters. tighter crop, but not to the extent where you lose the light and shade reflected from the ground.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the white on the right because it almost creates a sense of things being even due to similar light on the opposite side further down. Love the picture all in all

thanks for the comments. will try a tighter crop and repost later when back from work.

in regards to the silhouette that was pretty much my only option exposure wise whilst preserving the detail on the other side of the pass. I also like to think (without getting too muso about this!) the silhouette conveys a sense of anonymity that suits the nature of the picture quite well.

(also it's worth noting the picture isn't being displayed quite as intended. I'm having a problem where I save a pic as a jpeg after messing around in photoshop and when I upload it it's displayed differently. the one i upload is showing the image at an earlier stage of the edit. in the original the wall on the right was a fair bit darker and less distracting)
