XSI update guess?

I note that the brand new (announced in September) Powershot G10 has some superior stats compared with the almost new (announced in January) Rebel XSI/450D (Digi 4 processor, more pixels, more dots on display screen, for instance).

Do any of you long-time Canon watchers have a prediction for when an updated XSI model might be announced? I know that last January was just a short time ago for the new high-end Rebel, but a further improved display screen is something I might very well be willing to wait for. And I've got to assume that the Digi 4 has something reasonably significant to offer as well. Any reason the next Rebel wouldn't match or exceed the G10's specs? Any reason I shouldn't care about the new processor or improved screen?

(I want to avoid the extra weight of the 50D.)

In the mean time, my XT and I are happy enough, but I can't help thinking . . .

So they're going to up the MP to 15.1 at the cost of FPS?
