Default Hi, Im new to these forums and to photography.
Hi all.

Just wanted to say hello. I am new to photography (only ever used a point and click thing) and I am also new to the forum.

I have however just purchased a Canon 450D with 18-55 IS kit lens. I have started to understand a few of the basics and I am really enjoying it.

Once I get some photos worth posting then I shall post them here for you all to see and I will welcome any comments or suggestions anyone has.

Anyway. Just wanted to say hello to you all as I was recomended to come to this website and after reading many posts I decided to join also.

Welcome to POTN!!!!

The XSi is a great body and will make a great starting point.

Fast lenses are your friend!
A 50mm 1.4 would be an awesome 2nd lens for anyone.

I am looking in to getting better lenses next and the 50mm 1.4 is on my list.
