Hi all.

Just wanted to say hello. I am new to photography (only ever used a point and click thing) and I am also new to the forum.

I have however just purchased a Canon 450D with 18-55 IS kit lens. I have started to understand a few of the basics and I am really enjoying it.

Once I get some photos worth posting then I shall post them here for you all to see and I will welcome any comments or suggestions anyone has.

Anyway. Just wanted to say hello to you all as I was recomended to come to this website and after reading many posts I decided to join also.

Thanks.

Welcome to POTN!!!!

The XSi is a great body and will make a great starting point.

Fast lenses are your friend!
A 50mm 1.4 would be an awesome 2nd lens for anyone.

Welcome to POTN buddy.

Prepare your wallet as membership of this community usually creates severe damage to your economy in the long run :-).

Free lesson No1 : point and click thing is usually called Point & Shoot amongst pro's ;-)a
