Just for anyone who wonders what canons service is like..
The other day (wed) I was outshooting when my camera refused to turn back on after I had turned it off, I went through the usual steps, powering it off the wall etc. and it did not function at all. This concerned me as I needed to go on a buisness trip shooting on sunday. Cue panic mode. I found the location of a repair depot in my city, and was able to drop it off thursday morning. I explained the situation and my utter panic.. and the tech said hed try what he could. The next morning I got a call from the depot and was able to pick up my camera that afternoon, with a new "DC/DC converter" So now im good to go on my trip. it wasnt quite as convenent as a straight exchange warenty.. but im not gonna complain =) |
