Default Canon 3D coming 2010
The plans for the Canon 3D camera just out of Japan yesterday to some high ranking executives at Canon USA.

Of course there are leaks.





The new camera will have a "radical new AF system" that I do not have any information about.


I am unsure about the information I got... either it will be just 2.0 crop or 2.0 and 1.? crop.
Soon to follow will be F2.0 IS zoom lenses. I believe this is why the reason for the 2.0 crop mode.


Of course super high ISO and the fastest FPS seen in a DSLR camera yet. Sounds like this will be for sports users for sure.
I am guessing that most cameras will have GPS and Wifi by then so you can expect that too.

Ohyeah, no CF card slot. SD or maybe a new card format? There is talk about built in memory too.

Unsubstantiated rumours... I could've made this up as well.

And if those specs are true - count me out. Full frame or nothing.

LOL...are you gonna be as correct about this as you where with your 5DII threads..LOL

I heard in 2011 canon is gonna have the 2D
it will have 87 focus points, GPS navigation, internet, remote desktop, fold away keyboard and mouse, 4" VGA LCD, 1080p video that will shoot for as long as you like, 45MP, 25fps, and can read your mind on what you are trying to focus on. This all came from a High up exec at Canon

that is seriously title fairy worthy..

in any case. it sounds like it would be a great camera. but rumors are just that.. there is soo much noise on the net about all of this stuff.. and predictions are never everything that they were talking about in the rumors.

do you just get really bored at work and start random threads on potn to see what kind of reactions you can get?

You'd think the latest and greatest would have a bigger LCD screen. I guess they decided to make the "Call Spock" button bigger so you can hit it easily when the Klingons discover you're spying on them...
