Default Everything has two sides

Here's my next installment in a series I'm working on. C/C welcome. Let me know what you think.

Nice polar opposites...

I'd bust a pane or two of glass and stain the table cloth on the left half...

You've also got one flash hotspot in the exact same place on both halves..second column of window glass, four from the top.

Thanks, I didn't think the flash flare bothered me, but now that I notice it more, it's all I see. There's some other problems with it, but I'm learning...

I like it except for the liquify on the crown molding.

I agree about the crown molding.. As I look back at it, that isn't consistent with the distressed look of the rest. I'm also not happy with part of the ceiling and part of the wall on that side. At some point, though, you have to just stop. I don't remember how long it took, since it wasn't all in one sitting. It ended up with 50+ layers and was 780mb. I'll post the original.

Here is the original. No adjustments, only resized and converted to jpg.

Well spotted, Flying Tog! That hotspot is noticeable and detracts from the overall concept.

And some cracks in the ceiling that are more angular could add a more "damaged" feel than the twists that you've already done.

Isn't the original so dull!?!?! Just shows how a boring inside photo can be used to make IMHO a really great piece of art!

Well done!

Wow...

Mucho additional kudos for all the straightening, etc you did to get it to "halvesies..."
