Yay, still no real news. Still not going to hold my breath. Looks like they're going to be significantly more expensive than the $25 per tx or rx that they originally were shooting for. Not sure why they went from "simple radio trigger" to integrating it with the full RP units.

Not sure about the knobs sticking out on the side and it looks like you could shut the tx unit off with your forehead or cheek with the button on the back side of the unit like that.

Need more details. I don't like "teaser" images. Product seems interesting though, we'll see how affordable they are.

Hmm the Jr will allow you to connect the phone cable and adjust output level and modeling lamps on AB and WL strobes. Bet they are more than $100ea

I dont get it. You mean it does not 'look' like it would reliably trigger a strobe off camera?

From the Radiopopper youtube video, paraphrased "the biggest news is the ability of the PX to control manual lights and ETTL lights in the same shot seamlessly." This is amazing if I understood correctly. So I can use my 580EX II's and some Alienbees together in one shot?! Can the 580EX II's be used in ETTL mode with this setup?
And the JrX transmitter can manually control lights with those white knobs.

These guys have the longest running vaporware in the photography industry. Why all these added functions and delays, wasn't one of the main draws the fact that they were going to have reliable, long distance triggering at $25/unit?

I downloaded the pdf. The JrX transmitter & reciever basic kit is $99. The kit that adjusts Alien Bees and White Lightnings is $129. The difference is apparently just software, which you can upgrade later for $50. Unless my math is off, it is significantly more expensive to buy individual components.

I'm not sure they heard the actual desire of most of us, although I may be projecting my own desire onto others. I just wanted something that worked at a good range and didn't cost an arm and leg with no fancy stuff. Don't have any Paul C. Buff stuff and don't want any. I especially don't want to pay for the hardware to allow upgrading to control something I don't have. I just want to fire my pack-and-head units and do it inexpensively. Maybe all the Paul C. Buff fans are happy.

Here is a link to the PDF.

The great thing about products is that they are not like taxes. If you dont like them, then dont buy them.

You have great options with cactus triggers at like $35 or pocket wizards for $188+$188.

If these work as well as pocket wizards I could totally see how people would be miffed about the price and pay $376 for trigger+rcvr for pocket wizards instead of $100 for the radio poppers.

I mean if you could really build decent triggers at $25 and make a penny on them to actually stay in business dont you think China and Hong Kong would be doing it by now? Pretty typical of most people though, offer a similar product at a $276 savings and still not happy.

What I'm saying is, it looks cheap and unattractive... like a POS basically.
