Default Should I rethink selling my light meter?

I have a Sekonic L-508 that I bought several years ago. I used to use it quite often with film, but rarely with digital. Almost never, in fact. I have come over to chimping for landscapes and outdoor shots, and am comfortable with that. Hence, I decided to sell it.

But, I have been getting more interested in studio photography. Not people, but product shots and close-ups, etc., and I'm wondering... should I re-think selling my light meter?

I've been chimping and using bare-bones set-ups, and it works, but want to expand seriously in this area to the point of investing in quality lighting, etc. I have this feeling that it will come in handy again, and I'd hate to sell it then finding out that I will need to buy another one.

Thoughts?

Keep it.

With a bit of experience, you'll learn that you want certain ratios for certain kinds of shots. And the meter will make it easy to create such ratios.

Chimping is for monkeys with cameras. Keep the meter.

Well, if your never using it and chimping works for you then why hold on to the meter. It's capital locked up unused that could be put to better use.W, I too am a chimper and the only meter I use is the built i one to get me close, then chimp the histogram for the fine tuning.
