Question I want to purchase a G5

Why does it cost so much even today when it is a discontinued camera? I looked on ebay and the cheapest is around $200 and the highest is over $1,000 on Amazon. I want one really bad but dont want to spend over $150 for one new or used. It is not a SLR so I dont understand. I am even willing to trade my A590 for it. can someone explain why it is so expensive even though it is not in high demand this day and age?

whats your reason for wanting the G5 over something newer?

I just picked up a G5 from Craigslist.com for $125 shipped. Just as long as you use PayPal your safe as to someone stiffing you.

Good Luck and Happy New Year

I think the good money is on a typo by the ad's author. I'm betting he or she mistyped F5 as G5.

I just took a quick look at Ebay and there are several G5s for $150 or less. I also checked on a G3 and there was only 1 working camera listed and I believe the starting bid was $15. You should be able to pick up what you want for $150 or less. Don't rule out the G3. I have one and it is a great little camera. I don't think there is much difference between the G3 and G5 other than the G3 is a 4 MP camera and the G5 is 5.
