Nice captures.

I'm curious - how do you secure the camera so that it's not flopping around hitting you in the face?

I'd have guessed glue.

I read the other thread - that's quite a helmet - bite switch no less ! Cool.

Clearly it works very well. Cheers.

You'd think I would remember that, right?

I know The AF won the 6 way Speed.
I the AF won 4-way advanced Army took 3rd I think.

It was my first rodeo so I was confused on which classes were which. I was just shooting.
It was a close competition all around. 110 competitors. The most in approx 25 years.

Since you struck close to home, I'll have to come out of the shadows and make my first post. (D-18218, with 11 years flying cameras)

Love the accuracy shot....especially with the judge in the background....definately a Parachutist candidate! The aerial shots...were you providing the judged video or fun jumping? I ask because you're positioned right between the two slots you would want to be in. For judged video, you got to be steeper on the 4-ways....right on the edge of their burble (without crashing the party!) For fun, get lower and get faces...crash the party!
The 6-way is spot-on for judges. (but not too many 6-way competitions being judged)
What suit are you flying?
Have fun. Be safe.

That accuracy shot isbetter than it looks...I.E. it was the only "00" score in the intermediate catagory.

I was shooting for judged video for collegiates. They're more fogiving than nat'l.s
I haven't shot nat'ls yet but at least when I do I'll have trust in my team.

Theres a video pool for collegiates. Shooting other teams is no big deal but I am not willing to bet my life that the PC's will stay in place. When ever possible I checked their gear during the dirt dive but there was a few times when I had to fill in for other video slots at the last minute so it was a verbal briefing. I have never seen a premature deployment but I don't want to be eating nylon if I do.

My military gear is a Spectre 230 in a talon rig. I cant stand it but I'll take what they give me.
My fun jumping rigs(2) are javelin's with a 150 sabre2 and 150 cobalt.

I shot some comp stuff before when the Carolina council use to do competitions. When it is teams you dont really know or they are not as skilled to stay relative you have to shot at not a steep angle and be more cautious. With teams you know and are use to steep is best spot. Feeling the burble in your hands is a weird feeling. JTVal what is you official position at the academy? I remember you use to be here in Vegas. If I would have know you was jumping at Nellis a few months ago for aviation nation I would have looked ya up.
