the first one now is better photographically I think -- I don't like the blue towel (?) background in #2.

But what are you going to use it for? If for business purposes, e.g. as a website logo, I think the facial expression in #2 is better.

Haha yes it is a blue blanket. You were close

I like everything about the 1st one better other than where the eyes are pointing. I'm guessing that you were trying to show that you were reading the book, but the eyes are too close to the top and the middle of the book to tell for sure.

The first image, it has a fun factor...Looks like you just got to the part explaining what the local paper pays per published shot!

Haha thanks everyone for the input.


The thing that bothers me about the first one is that my beanie doesn't "pop" out from the background it just kind of blends in with it. I wish I had taken more time and made it look like the second picture (how my head is given shape and not cut off from background)

On the technical side there's point's to be made for both...Part of my tendancy for 1 over 2 is a more pleasing facial lighting and color.
