Took today some nightshots... Here's one of them.
Zeiss1.jpg 1/15s,f2.8 ISO800 Just resized this one, the noise is from 5D ![]() I think Zeiss will be my general walk-around lens from now on... The colours here are just truthful. At f1.4 perhaps bit soft in focus, but stepped down to 2.0 this lens will start rock! Superior in color and tone compared to my EF lenses, kind of a "the good old times" -lens. Just falling in love... |

Nice. Is that a new optic or one of the classics? I'm assuming classic based on your "good old times" comment.

Ooo I see. I don't trust my eyes enough to spend that kinda dough on an MF lens.

I have one of these and the 50mm 2.0 Makro-Planar. I'm really impressed with both. The 1.4 is nice and compact and makes a great walkaround. Anything from a 5D up should be fine to MF given the very fine focus ring. Rare I get an OOF shot these days.

f1.4 1/600s, ISO100:
Zeiss4.jpg I like this lens! Great soft bokeh in front and in the back. Digital makes everything oversharp anyways... Off focus is different to soft focus... Again, great colours in a low light. And the thrash can is watching you... Un-Processed for your eyes only... Last edited by labbai : 9th of January 2009 (Fri) at 16:15. |

Can you post some pictures of your camera with the lens on it or some of the lens? I know I can see a picture at the Zeiss website but i want to some more pictures of this lens.

I think Zeiss has the best pictures of this lens, they make it.

Just another night shot. Unprocessed, though I was going to reduce some noise here... But good enough for the size of this.
