Default One-time use licensing questions...

For some reason that remains a mystery to me, people keep coming to me asking to pay for some of my photos. I know I'm not ready to go pro, and am still in the process of reading some of the suggested photography business books recommended in these threads, but with the economy the way it is, and my real job hanging by a thread at the moment, I've been saying yes more than no. Anyway, some background first:

After shooting at a newly opened scrapbooking store as an assignment from the local newspaper, the owner of the store asked me if I would be interested taking pictures of local points of interest or nature type shots (that are not copyrighted, etc) so that she could get them printed to sell as background paper for scrapbooks. I agreed, we discussed all the details, and she selected 5 of my images to try as a starter batch. She just got them back from the printing company in Utah and is very happy with the results (I'm not so happy with them, I'm picky about how my images look, and they cropped them oddly...anyway that's not the issue right now).

Here's the problem. According to the local business owner, the printing company in Utah told her they liked one in particular so much that they are going to use it "just for show" at a trade show in Anaheim, CA. Before I contact the printing company, I just wanted to make sure I'm not misunderstanding the copyright/licensing laws, so if any of the pros who know about these things here could advise, I'd be extremely grateful.

1) If they want to use this image (a selective color image of a butterfly on a black & white background of flowers/plants) to show off their printed product at a trade show, I'd would be entitled to charge them for one time use licensing correct?

2) I hate asking this, but..., ballpark figure, any suggestions as to what the one-time use of an image for a trade show sample be worth?

Thank you in advance for any answers, tips, or advice you can suggest.
