WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 149 -- Up and Down

Every week we select a new theme and then go out and shoot that theme. This week's theme is Up and Down. Be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme -- the sky's the limit!

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. And, yes, it's true, I'm having some difficulty with this week's theme.

I'd like to propose shooting with a Prime Lens.. Some may have a prime that they haven't used in a while, and others that don't have aprime, may use single focal length on varing length lens - I personally don't shoot enough with my primes...

If not then I would pick keys, patterns, signs or out of the past

Note to self... Get 100-400 calibrated and cleaned before spring. It just doesn't do what it once did!

Sean -- Looks like your statue could use some warmer clothes.

I hope you weren't affected by the power outages caused by all the ice. Was that in your area?

Joayne -- Love the feeder with wire "cage." Your theme idea about fixed length lenses sounds like a good one.

Unfortunately I have been without power since 3 AM on Wednesday thanks to the ice. Been staying at my parents' house since they never lost theirs.
