On my 40d, I like to take lots of pics in basic, auto mode but the problems is that all the red focus points do not show up, are they all suppose to show so I know my all of pic will be in focus? Usually it is just randon on how many of them show up. I know I am so confused!!!!

Those are the areas that are in focus, I dont think i've ever seen all of mine light up!! That would b great though lol. If you wanted a certain area focused on you can pick which area you want and the camera with focus on that area.
