I would crop closer to the subject and use the rule of thirds here. There is too much negative space on the right half. I also think it's important to show the whole name of the whiskey, but I'm not so sure about that cause I'm not a food/product expert.

And either the bottle or candle is crooked. Maybe WA distortion. That may be reduced with a longer focal length lens.
I like the overall "feel" of the shot, though.

I would move that candle in the foreground...I like the taper in the BG...if you were using the foreground candle for illumination, perhaps use a diffused light pointed upwards to the bottle out of frame?
I also like the mood.

nice attempt
I would move to a portrait format instead of landscape (it will help reduce the negative space and allow for a tighter crop on the bottle). Also it is too centered in the middle of the frame. put the subject to the side a bit and organize around it.

Agree with the closer crop, but close up and even Macro is becoming more popular within product shooting especially alcohol. I have seen a lot of just branding. Makers Mark for example has an Ad of just the neck of the bottle with the wax running down. ( This is one of their trademarks if you are not familiar)

the bottle is sharp, but there is no add to life around it, making it look as thought whiskey rules and not adds too.
Kinda like whiskey and everything goes foggy.
Yeah I know but for an add it needs a bit of focused life around it to blend with.
In to first one the candle in front needs a backing not seen by the camera that stops light from putting a hot line in the bottle.
The candle in back. Take one with it lite, another with it not and blend the flame in layers to get just the right glow and placement through out the rest of the shot. Add a couple glasses to give way to a gathering.
As added above portrait shot it will draw more attention to the size of the bottle. Maybe just a bit of reflective light to add enough to see the complete name.
Ahh or ya could just pour a bit and sip.

Cyborg, sounds like this could be some really good improvements. Image editing is ok, could you show us how you would apply these improvements?

I think the original would be better if the candle was a whiskey glass.
