I don't think it does.
And it does not embedd the profile in the picture...

I'm new to profiles, but I tried a 16-bit linear TIFF from the G3, and used Timo's G2 profile: absolutely useless, just as dark, but redder.
I also tried a D-30 and D-60 profile, but both came out about the same as the G-2.
I'd say the G3 is usually a unique to itself profile. If anyone figures it out (apparently one needs special equipment and software) I'd really appreciate a look at it so I can see what all this linear-TIFF fuss is about.
I had a G1 before that does not offer linear option.

cheers,

Hi Gandini.

Firstly are you using Canon's software to produce 16-bit Linear files? as you probably know there is a fault in that Canon's software thinks that G3/S45 CRW files are 10bit when in fact they are 12bit so you get over saturated psychedelic colours and not a true Linear file.

If you compile & use the code here:-

http://www2.primushost.com/~dcoffin/powershot/crw.c

You will get a good Linear file to work with.

I have a profile for the S45 Non-Linear & soon will have a Linear one available I will post links in a couple of hours.
